We decided to complete a mind map of possible genres with some bands that influence us as we all prefer different varieties of music.

After looking in to different genres of music, we are deciding between R&B and Electronic House music video; to make a final decision, we are going to analyse 4 videos to see which genre we prefer.

Contemporary R&B is a music genre that combines elements of hip hop, soul, R&B and funk.

Although the abbreviation “R&B” originates from traditional rhythm and blues music, today the term R&B is most often used to describe a style of African American music originating after the demise of disco in the 1980s. Some sources refer to the style as urban contemporary.

Electro house, not to be confused with Electro, is a fusion genre of house music with several other electronic dance music subgenres that came into prominence in the 2000s decade. Stylistically, it combines the minimal-processed four to the floor beats commonly found in tech house with abrasive leads and harmonically rich analogue or digital bass lines derived from Hi-NRG and electro clash. The tempo is predominant of house music.

Some of our main influences are Rihanna, Kanye West, Coldplay, Alecia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Example, and Drake.
